This forever home for me is so important, you have no idea. My past consists of a lot of different ways that humans have abandoned me, left me, discarded me, and I’ve never seen them again. For this reason, I have some separation scaries. In my foster home before coming to Yankee, I was getting so much more comfortable with my foster leaving and the routine we had. So I am sure I can pick that back up in no-time with the right understanding, and patient humans by my side to help me through.

If you work from home, can take your doggo to work with you, or just live the happy retired life (you know what I mean…with the umbrella drinks and sleeping in), then I’m your girl. I can promise one thing in return for you giving me my forever home…that I will love you more than words (or barks) can express.

I identify as a 10 pound lap dog. Cuddling is my expertise, and you are guaranteed the best cuddles of your life or your money back (just kidding, but serious about the cuddles).

I love to play ball, go for walks, and then nap at your feet. I enjoy other dogs, just depends on the dog. Sometimes they can be a bit much for me if they come on too strong, but after I get to know another dog, I enjoy their company and play time. Nothing like a good wrestle sesh.

I am housetrained, as I think peeing in the house is disgusting and barbaric. And I am the perfect balance of fun in the sun with a heaping side of sleeping beauty. However, I cannot blossom into the beautiful flower I am while in a rescue, because the water to my soil is my PEOPLE!

Hi there my name is Raven! I may be small, but my love has no bounds. I will surely grow into the big heart I have! I enjoy toys, tasty treats, and snuggling. I’ve had a blast making other puppy friends here at Yankee and spending time with staff, but I am ready to go home! I do great with other dogs. I can go to a home that has dogs, cats, and respectable small children. If your current dog enjoys the energy level a puppy has, I’d love to be best friends. My family should continue with my training since I am young and still have much to learn. With a little training and lots of love, I am the perfect addition to any family. Spring has sprung! With the arrival of Lily and Daisy, flowers are starting to bloom here at Yankee! We are looking for our forever family that will help us thrive in this new season of our life. We need to be tended to, watered, and fed to help us grow. We are inseparable pups who share a special connection, which is evident in our interactions. We comfort each other, play together, and bring out the best in each other! We’ve had some unexpected twists in our journey to Yankee, life has not always been easy. Despite our tough past, our hearts are full and we have a true zest for life. Separating us is not an option as we would be heartbroken. We love cuddling together in bed, walking together, and conquering this new thing called life side by side! We need a home that will be patient with new transitions. Our world has been small and we are unsure about new things, but with the help of a patient family we know we will thrive. We need a home with no kids or other dogs, it has to be just us two. I am a large handsome boy with a honey colored coat and soulful eyes. By the looks of it, I am a Golden Retriever mix. Some of my favorite things are soft toys, fetch, and butt scratches! I also have gotten the hang of the flirt pole, which I find to be so fun! I am a young boy who enjoys enriching tasks and training. I am also very vocal, I make my presence known when I see new people. I will require a home with a fully fenced in yard. I will also need to go to a home with no kids or cats. I would love to help you understand what I’m looking for in a home so that I can find the best match for myself possible!

First off, I have had a lot of bouncing around in my lifetime. So I really need this next place to be my final and forever home. Bouncing around isn’t easy for us dogs, because we get used to things being a certain way, and then it all changes. So predictability is something I would like to have in my forever home.

I also would like my forever home to be adults only. I have been around kids in the past, and this is not something I would like to have in my future. So if you have children in your life, please read no further.

I also do not want to live with other dogs. Sorry guys, but dogs are just not my thing. I am fine walking by and just minding my own business, but being around other dogs is not something I want. Also…cats…(gag).

I love to play ball! I could do that all day 😊. I also really like to swim, go for walks, and adventure. P.S. I love to roll on anything I find interesting! My nose works OVERTIME, all the time! Sniffer McSnifferton should be my nickname. So don’t plan on taking walks with me without allowing me to sniff stuff. That would just be cruel.

I’m a silly guy, looking for the right home that will really just take the time to understand me, and allow me to be myself! No one wants to have to pretend to be anyone but themselves! Including dogs like me! So a patient home, that understands that I have a history that I need to work through, and that has the unconditional love to love me for me, and take the time to understand me! Hi there, my name is Cody! I am a big boy with a big personality! I am funny, smart, and extremely playful. Some of my favorite things are chasing squirrels, playing catch, and biscuit treats. I also love my squeaky toys and stuffies. I’m a get up and go kind of dog, I am up for any adventure my family has in mind for the day. I’ve been camping before and loved it. Some of my squirrel- chasing antics make staff chuckle and will surely make you laugh too. I do great on leash and will look to my human for guidance. Door frames can be off-putting for me, but with the help of tasty treats and the trust I have in my human I can make my way through. You’ll find me resting at the legs of my human or trying to fit myself in your lap. I am also extremely smart. At my young age I have a list of commands I know and staff would love to show my new family what I got up my sleeve! I’ll require training in my new home as I find it rewarding and the structure benefits me. I should be the only animal in the home with no small pets. I would love to have playdates outside of the home with other dogs. I have done well walking alongside other dogs here at Yankee. I will need to be in a home that does not have young kids, teenagers are acceptable. If you can open your heart to a pup like me, I’d love to go home with you!

Introducing ourselves as the paw-some puppies from Georgia! We came to Yankee from a shelter in the south. It is said that we are King Charles Cavalier spaniel mixes! We are small but mighty! We are three boys that go by the names Lennox, Asher and Barrett. And three girls that go by the names Timberly, Tillie, and Parker Ann. We are just paws-sitively adorable. With our small faces and nonstop wagging tails we have won the hearts of staff and volunteers. Mischievous, snuggly, and all around playful! We are sure to add spunk into the lives of your family. We can go to a home with kids, cats, and other dogs. If your current dog loves puppies and enjoys the energy level a puppy comes with, we would love to be best friends. We are quick learners and already have picked up sit and lay down! We recommend our fur-ever families continue with our training as we are still so young and have much to learn. Seriously, look at these heartwarming small faces! A snuggly warm puppy is just what you need to enter Spring. We do not want to grow up in a shelter, so if you have it in your heart to open your home to one of us we’d be so ecstatic to finally settle down with a family. Hi there, my name is Marceline! I am a special dog whose story will melt your heart. I was originally bought at a flea market before I found my way to Yankee. It was discovered by those who originally took me in that I was different and in need of further medical treatment. I am fully deaf, but I wouldn’t know it since I was born this way! Nothing stops me, I am a high energy playful puppy. I am mischievous and use my voice when I am excited. Sometimes I am clumsy and trip over my own legs because they are so long, but I will surely grow into them. I will definitely be a big girl since I am a Great Pyrenees mix. When the time comes for my forever family to meet me, staff would love to show off the hand signals I’ve picked up while in my foster home. I am very smart and know basic commands through sign language! I do not know verbal cues. Some distinguished traits about myself are my double dewclaws and bright white coat. My ears have a mind of their own and flop around too. I will need a family that can respect when I am sleeping and have the patience to wake me up through touch. My foster family found that lightly touching my face helps me know when it’s time to get up. I can go to a home with young kids, cats, and other dogs. My forever family will need to continue with my sign language training. I am a typical puppy who is just a little different from the rest, but it doesn’t get in the way of enjoying the adventures life offers! I would love to go home with you!

Staff has fallen in love with my silly personality, I am a big fluffy goofball. A few of my favorite things are tasty bones, being outside, and belly rubs. If I could receive belly rubs all day I’d be in heaven! I have quickly shown Yankee staff how big my brain is. I am a smart boy who knows paw, sit and lay down. I am also working on getting the hang of roll over! I do great on leash and know my name very well. I do require a fenced in yard and to be the only dog in the home. I have befriended other mellow dogs here at Yankee, I could definitely have a walking pal outside of the house. I need to be the only animal in the home with no small animals of any kind such as chickens, rodents, or cats. I have a high prey drive that is only natural for me! I can go home to a family of teenagers who can handle my large size. I am a gentle giant who is looking for my forever family!
