What I’m looking for in a Forever Home:

  • A family ready for all the fun (and training!) that comes with raising a puppy.
  • A home with another playful dog would be great, but isn’t required.
  • Kids who are comfortable with energetic puppy behavior are ok!
  • Lots of love, adventures, and belly rubs!

Hi there! My name is Franklin, and I’m a 4-month-old Lab mix with the cutest floppy ears you’ve ever seen (at least that’s what everyone keeps telling me!). I was found as a stray in Arizona, but now I’m ready to find my forever family—and I can’t wait to see where my next adventure takes me!

I’m a happy-go-lucky puppy with lots of love to give and plenty of playful puppy energy to keep you smiling. Whether we’re chasing toys, exploring the backyard, or cuddling up after a busy day, I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my people.

Since I’m still just a baby, I have lots of growing and learning ahead of me! I’m working on my leash skills and puppy manners, so I’ll need a family that’s excited to teach me all about being the best boy. With patience, consistency, and lots of treats (I won’t complain!), I’ll be your star student.

I’d love a home with another playful dog who enjoys puppy antics and is happy to show me the ropes. I can also live with kids who understand that puppies like me can be bouncy, wiggly, and always ready for the next game!

If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, adorable sidekick with floppy ears, a big heart, and endless potential, I just might be your perfect match. I promise to fill your days with laughter, love, and plenty of puppy kisses! I can’t wait to meet you!

Let's get in touch.

Learn all about me!

What I Need in a Forever Home:

  • A family who is ready to help me through my upcoming TPLO surgery and recovery
  • To be the only pet—no dogs or cats, please!
  • A family that is home often
  • Older teenagers are okay, but no young children

Hi there! My name is Olive, and if you’re looking for the sweetest girl with the biggest heart, I just might be your perfect match.

I came to Yankee after having a difficult time living with other dogs, so I’m happiest as the one and only pet in my home. Trust me—I have more than enough love to give! I can be a little shy when we first meet, but once I know you’re my person, I’ll be right by your side. I absolutely adore people, walk beautifully on leash, and greet my favorite humans with the happiest smile and lots of excitement (I may even try to sneak in a few joyful jumps!).

While I was settling into Yankee, they discovered that I have a torn ACL, also called a cranial cruciate ligament, in my knee. The good news is that Yankee is scheduling my TPLO surgery, and they’re hoping to find my forever family now so I’ll have loving people to help me through my recovery.

A TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) is a common orthopedic surgery that helps stabilize my knee so I can get back to enjoying life without pain. Recovery takes about 8-12 weeks and means I’ll need lots of rest, short leash walks, and someone to help keep me calm while I heal. As I get stronger, I’ll slowly build back up with controlled exercise, and because I love to swim, water therapy may become one of my favorite ways to regain my strength!

During recovery, I’ll need a family that’s patient, committed, and home often to help me stay on track. There won’t be any zoomies or rough play for a little while, but there will be plenty of opportunities for cuddles, belly rubs, and quality time together. Think of it as our chance to bond while you help me get back on all four paws.

Even with my sore knee, my happy personality shines through every day. I still love being around my people, exploring on walks, soaking up attention, and making everyone smile with my sweet nature. Once I’m all healed, I’ll be ready for many more adventures together.

If you’re looking for an incredibly loving companion and are willing to help me through this temporary bump in the road, I promise to repay you with endless loyalty, kisses, and unconditional love. My forever family isn’t just adopting a dog—they’re giving me the chance to heal, thrive, and spend the rest of my life loving them.

Meet Jill: Champion Snuggler & Professional Cuddle Bug 💜

If you’re looking for a serious snuggle bug, Jill is your girl! She absolutely lives for affection—whether she’s curled up right next to you on the couch, leaning in for full-body hugs, or rolling over for endless belly rubs. Jill doesn’t just enjoy cuddles… she commits to them.

In the home, Jill is a total cuddle bug—house-trained, relaxed, and happiest right by your side. She loves curling up on the couch or basking in a sunny spot, always happiest when she’s close to her people. Calm and easygoing, she’ll thrive in a cozy home where she can soak up all the love.

Jill also has a fun, playful side! She enjoys playtime, adores squeaky toys and loves to train and learn new things—especially when treats are involved! She already knows her basics—sit, down, and paw and will be a great partner for someone who wants a dog that’s both affectionate and engaged.

Out and about, Jill loves meeting people and greets everyone with her signature smile, wagging tail, and gentle lean-in hugs (belly rubs encouraged!). On leash, Jill can be a bit strong and will benefit from continued guidance. She can also feel overwhelmed in busy neighborhoods, especially when lots of other dogs are around, so she’d likely be happiest in a quieter area where she can feel more at ease. While she has lived with other dogs in the past, she prefers slow introductions and time to build comfort. Because of that, Jill would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can fully relax and shine.

She also rides well in the car and is always up for being your copilot!

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily be your shadow, your adventure buddy, and your dedicated couch snuggler, Jill is ready to settle in and make herself right at home. 💜

*** Jill’s adoption fee has been generously sponsored! Her adoption will also include a post-adoption training scholarship, thanks to the generous support of A&S Pet Care ***

💜💙 Meet Willow & Romeo! 💙💜

Some dogs are friends. Willow and Romeo are family.

This sweet 4-year-old pair has spent their lives together, and they’re looking for a home where they can continue their journey side by side. While their personalities are very different, they balance each other beautifully.

Willow is the gentle, affectionate soul of the duo. She has never met a stranger, loves attention from everyone she meets, and is happiest carrying around a favorite stuffed toy or relaxing close to her people. While she’s still building confidence with new experiences, having Romeo by her side helps her feel a little braver as she explores the world.

Romeo is the life of the party. Energetic, playful, and always ready for the next adventure, he brings enthusiasm and joy wherever he goes. Whether he’s out for a walk, learning for treats, or simply making his people laugh with his goofy personality, Romeo is happiest when he’s part of the action. One of Romeo’s most charming features is his quirky, one-of-a-kind smile that has a way of making everyone he meets fall in love with him.

Together, they make an incredible team. Both dogs are friendly, affectionate, and love being with their people. They enjoy spending time together, but they also bring out the best in one another—Romeo helps encourage Willow’s confidence, while Willow’s calm presence helps balance Romeo’s excitement.

Willow and Romeo are looking for a family that will welcome them both into the heart of the home and continue helping them thrive. In return, you’ll get double the love, double the companionship, and two loyal best friends who are ready to fill your days with smiles.

If you’re ready to open your home to an amazing bonded pair, Willow and Romeo can’t wait to meet you! 🐾💕

Size: 70 lbs. & 73 lbs.

What We Need in a Forever Home:

  • A patient, understanding family willing to let us adjust at our own pace
  • A quiet home with minimal foot traffic and a calm environment
  • A securely fenced yard where we can safely build confidence
  • A friendly, confident dog companion to help show us the ropes
  • No young children, as busy households can be overwhelming for us

Hi there! We’re Molly and Daisy, two Golden Retriever girls from Ohio searching for a very special forever home.

Life hasn’t always been easy for us. We didn’t have the best start, and because of that, the world can still feel like a pretty big and scary place sometimes. New people, new sounds, and lots of activity can make us nervous, but we’re trying our best every single day.

What we need most is someone who understands that healing takes time.

We’re looking for a patient family who won’t expect us to be perfect right away. A family who will celebrate the little victories, let us move at our own pace, and meet us where we are. We may not be the type of dogs who run up to strangers or instantly settle into a new home, but underneath our shy exteriors are two incredibly sweet girls who want nothing more than to feel safe and loved.

One thing we do know? We absolutely love other dogs! Having a confident canine friend in the home would help us tremendously. We learn so much by watching other dogs, and having a buddy by our side makes the world feel a little less scary.

Because we’re still building our confidence, we’ll need a securely fenced yard where we can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors without feeling overwhelmed. We’d also do best in a quieter home with limited foot traffic. Young children and lots of hustle and bustle would likely be stressful for us, so we’re hoping to find a calm environment where we can continue to blossom.

We know we’re a work in progress. We may not be the easiest dogs you’ll ever adopt, but we promise we’ll be among the most rewarding. Somewhere out there is a family willing to see past our fears and recognize the loving, gentle soul’s underneath.

Maybe you’re the person who believes that some things are worth waiting for.

If so, we’d love the chance to show you just how special we can be.

What I Need in a Forever Home:

  • Only pet in the home (no other dogs)
  • Adult home (no young kids, teenagers ok)
  • Someone experienced with or understanding of resource guarding
  • Active lifestyle to match her energy

Hi there! I’m Stella, a beautiful Golden Retriever with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I’m officially on the lookout for my forever home—could it be with you?

Let me tell you a little about myself
I’m an energetic girl who loves to stay active! Whether it’s long walks, playing outside, or just being on the move, I’m happiest when I have an outlet for all my zoomies. And guess what? I love swimming—give me a pool, lake, or even a kiddie pool and I’m one happy girl!

Now, I like to be honest—because the best relationships are built on understanding. I can be a bit protective over my things (what can I say, I love my stuff!). Because of this, I’m looking for a home that understands resource guarding and is committed to helping me continue to feel safe and secure.

I’d do best as the only dog in the home—I really enjoy having my space and soaking up all the attention for myself. I’m also looking for a home without young kids, where things are a bit more predictable and calmer for me.

But here’s the thing… once I trust you, I’m incredibly loyal, loving, and devoted. I’ll be your shadow, your adventure buddy, your swimming partner, and your biggest fan. I just need the right person who sees my potential and is willing to meet me where I am.

If you’re looking for a bright, beautiful girl who will form a deep bond and light up your life, I might just be your perfect match.

Breed: Golden-Hearted Retriever Mix

Age: 1 yr.

Sex: Female

Size: 52lbs.

Adoption Fee: $850

Learn all about me!

What I Need in a Forever Home:

  • An active family that enjoys adventures, walks, and making memories together
  • A home with older dog-savvy children
  • No cats, please
  • A playful canine companion could be fun, especially an energetic male dog!

Hi, I’m Teka!

I’ve been waiting a little while for my forever family, and while I’m not sure why I’ve been overlooked, I know my people are out there somewhere. I have so much love to give, and I can’t wait to find a family that truly wants me and is ready to make me part of their adventures.

I’m a sweet, happy girl who absolutely loves spending time with people. I adore going for walks with the volunteers here at YGRR and would love a family that enjoys getting outside and taking me along wherever life leads.

I’m also quite the athlete! I’m agile, quick on my feet, and always ready for action. Whether it’s climbing, jumping, or zooming around the yard, I love showing off my athletic side. I would be an absolute superstar for someone interested in agility, hiking, or other fun activities. I’m smart, eager, and always excited to have a job to do.

And recently, everyone discovered another one of my hidden talents—I’m a swimmer! If you’ve been looking for a water-loving companion, I’m your girl. I’m happiest when I’m splashing around, exploring, and then relaxing beside my favorite people after a day of fun.

I’ve made some wonderful friends here and do well with other dogs. My favorite playmates have been energetic male dogs who enjoy romping around as much as I do. Cats, however, just aren’t my thing.

Even though I’ve been waiting for my forever family, I haven’t lost my happy spirit. Every day, I greet volunteers with a wagging tail and hope that maybe today will be the day someone sees me and says, “That’s our girl.”

If you’re looking for an affectionate, athletic, adventurous companion who will happily join you on hikes, agility courses, swims, and cozy evenings on the couch, I might just be the missing piece you’ve been searching for. I know my forever family is out there, and I can’t wait to meet them.

Age: 10 yrs.

Sex: Male

Size: 100 lbs.

Adoption Fee: $550

Learn all about me!

What I Need in a Forever Home:

  • A calm, senior-friendly home

  • Preferably retired adults, work-from-home, or someone home often

  • Older, dog-savvy kids are fine

  • Can live with a calm, senior dog or be the only dog

  • Plenty of love, attention, and cozy snuggles

Hear ye, hear ye!
I’m King, a senior gentleman seeking a cozy castle to call my own—preferably one adorned with twinkling lights, warm blankets, and the sweet smells of the holiday season. I may not wear an actual crown (yet), but I promise to rule your heart with kindness, loyalty, and plenty of tail wags.

I’m a loving pup who enjoys being by my humans’ side. In fact, I adore my people so much that I can get a little stressed when they leave the room. So if you’re retired, work from home, or simply enjoy spending your winter days nestled inside the palace, I would be absolutely delighted to be your loyal companion.

I’ll admit—every great king enjoys a feast now and then, and I’ve enjoyed a few too many holiday snacks over the years. I could stand to lose a few pounds, but with your help (and maybe some brisk post–holiday walks), I’ll be back in shape! I love strolls around the kingdom and playing fetch in the yard. I can pull on leash a bit, so I’d benefit from a touch of leash-manner polishing.

I can also get a bit fed up with younger pups—they’ve just got too much energy for an old guy like myself! If you’ve got another dog, I’m hoping they’re a calm senior like me, but I’m perfectly content being the only royal hound. I’d also prefer not to go home with young children, though older dog-savvy kids are just fine.

So if you’re searching for a best friend, faithful companion, and benevolent ruler of snuggles to share cozy holiday evenings and many happy seasons to come, look no further. Please reach out if I sound like the pup for you!

What We Need in a Forever Home:

  • A calm, patient, and understanding household

  • A secure, fully fenced yard

  • Consistency, kindness, and gentle guidance

  • A confident, friendly dog in the home is a plus

Hi everyone, we’re Challah and Brioche. We came from a severe hoarding situation in New York where we were neglected. We’re incredibly nervous, but we find so much comfort in each other, and we’d really love to keep it that way.

Everything is new to us — leashes, pets, and kind people. We’re just trying to figure it all out, and we hope our new family will be patient with us throughout this process. We also do some reactive barking, especially when there are barriers between us and something that worries us, like strangers. We’re learning, though — we just need time and patience.

We absolutely need an understanding home with a secure, fully fenced yard. We’re not leash trained or fully housetrained yet, and the yard gives us a safe way to explore, decompress, and enjoy being outside without fear. We’re still figuring out how to trust people, but with a calm environment, consistency, and kindness, we know we can grow. We would do well with another confident, friendly dog in the home. We love following their lead!

If you’re looking for two loyal companions with a ton of potential, we might be the perfect pair for you.
