What I need in a Forever Home:
- Time and patience while I adjust
- A fenced in yard
- Dogs are okay – no puppies please!
- No kids, please
Hi everyone! My name is Jake and I’m the cuddliest 5-year-old Golden Retriever you’ll ever meet! I’ve made my journey here all the way from Ohio and I’m ready to find my people! I’ll tell you some fun facts about myself so you can see if we’re a good match!
First of all, I love being pet—belly rubs are my favorite. I will happily roll on my back when you’re around and ask for pets. If you’re still not getting the hint then I also might gently paw at you like: “Hello! I’m right here, pet me!”. Snuggling up to my humans is the best feeling in the world. In addition to my love for humans I also love other dogs! I’ve got plenty of dog friends here at YGRR. I would be happy to share the home with another dog, but preferably no puppies please! They’re a little too rambunctious for me!
I will say, I can be a little shy at first. I wasn’t shown very much kindness in my life but despite it all I still believe there are good humans out there. I just have to build up a little trust with you first. I’m looking for a home that will be patient with me as I adjust. I’m not going to be my ultra-cuddly self right away but with a little time and a lot of love, I’ll be snuggling up next to you in no time! I’m hoping you’ll celebrate the little victories with me as I get used to you and your home!
I also love to take walks, however, I can be a little nervous on the leash at first so I’m looking to go home to someone with a fenced in yard so I can freely explore without dealing with the anxieties that come with being on leash. I hope you’ll be persistent in working on my leash skills with me! I promise I actually walk well on leash once I’ve become a bit more comfortable!
Because of my anxiety, I would prefer not to go home with kids. Sometimes kids don’t always understand when I’m feeling overwhelmed and want space.
Overall, I’m just looking for a peaceful home to open up their hearts to a sweet and cuddly guy like myself. I may need a little extra patience but I’m so worth it! Once I open up I’ll be your shadow and your new best friend! What’d you say?

What I Need in a Forever Home:
- An active family ready for a fun, energetic girl
- No young children (teenagers are welcome!)
- Someone who will continue my training and help me keep learning
- Lots of playtime… especially if tennis balls are involved
Hi there! My name is Stella, and I’m a 2-year-old Golden Retriever with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. I’ve lived in a home before, but now I’m on the search for my next one — maybe it could be with you?
If you’re looking for a happy, wiggly, always-ready-to-play kind of girl, I might just be your match. I’ve got that classic fun Golden energy and I LOVE to play. Tennis balls are basically my favorite thing ever (you probably noticed from my pictures). If you throw one, I will absolutely chase it. If you throw it again? Even better!
People are my favorite. I’m always excited to make new friends and would love a family that enjoys having a cheerful companion around. Because I’m still a young, energetic girl, I’d do best in a home without young children. Teenagers are totally welcome though — especially if they like playing fetch!
I already know quite a bit and I’m a smart cookie, but I’d really enjoy continuing my training with my new family. It’s a great way for us to bond, and I love learning (especially when treats or tennis balls are involved).
What I’m really hoping for is a home that’s ready for a playful, active girl who wants to be part of the fun. If you’re looking for a loyal friend, a fetch champion, and a professional tail-wagger, I think we should meet.

What I need in a Forever Home:
- Active home for play and adventures
- Dogs are ok!
- Best with dog-savvy kids
- Needs guidance and supervision due to high energy
Hi! My name is Cody
I’m a one-year-old Golden Retriever/Aussie mix with a big heart and even bigger love for people. Seriously… people are my FAVORITE thing in the whole world. If you’re around, I want to be near you — getting pets, giving kisses, or just hanging out by your side.
I’ve lived in a home before, but now I’m looking for my next family to love. I promise to bring lots of sweetness, fun, and tail wags wherever I go!
I also really like other dogs, especially the playful ones. If you’re the kind of dog who wants to run, wrestle, and play, we’ll probably be best friends in no time.
Since I’m still young, I have lots of energy and enthusiasm for life. I’d love a home that’s ready for adventures, playtime, and spending lots of time together. I can get a little jumpy when I’m excited (I just get SO happy to see people!) and sometimes I forget that hands aren’t toys when I’m being silly. I’m working on my manners, though!
I’ll do best with a family that can keep an eye on me and help guide me, because if I get bored or unsupervised… well… soft things might mysteriously explode into fluff. Oops.
Older, dog-savvy kids would be great for me since I can be a little bouncy. Mostly I’m just a playful guy who wants a family that will include me in their lives and spend lots of time with me.
If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, people-loving best friend who will keep you smiling and moving, I might just be your guy.

What I Need in a Forever Home:
- A fenced-in yard to stretch my legs
- Daily walks and relaxed chill time
- Lots of cuddles and attention
- Dog-savvy kids are okay
- Other dogs are okay
Hi there… I’m Dale
I’m a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix all the way from Texas, and I like to think of myself as the sweetest big gentleman you’ll ever meet. They call me a “gentle giant,” and I wear that title proudly.
My favorite thing in the whole world? People. I love people. If you’re handing out attention, I am first in line. Pets, belly rubs, ear scratches — I will happily soak up every bit of love you’re willing to give. And if you’re looking for an amazing cuddler, congratulations… you just found your guy.
I’m super chill and easygoing. Leash me up? No problem. I’m very easy to walk and enjoy getting out for my strolls. I already know how to sit, and I take treats like a true gentleman — nice and polite. I’ve got good manners and a calm personality that makes me easy to be around.
I can go home with other dogs and would do well with dog-savvy kids who understand that I’m a big boy with a gentle heart. I just want a family who will love me as much as I’ll love them.
My perfect home would have a fenced-in yard where I can stretch my legs, enjoy some fresh air, and then come inside for cuddle time and relaxing by your side. I’m a simple guy — give me my walks, some love, and a cozy place to chill, and I’ll be the happiest boy around.
If you’re ready for a big-hearted, easygoing best friend from Texas, I’m ready to be your Dale.

What I need in a Forever Home:
- Patience while I adjust
- A calm, low foot-traffic home
- Another dog in the home
- Love and understanding
- Older dog-savvy kids are okay
Hi everyone! My name is Belinda and I’m a 2-year-old Lab mix who’s seeking a loving forever home! I’m a gentle, sweet girl who just needs time and patience in order to feel secure. I truly love people but because of my past, I need a little extra time to make sure I can trust you. Once that trust is established, I will want to spend all my time with you! When I see you, I won’t just wag my tail, I’ll wiggle my whole body with pure excitement! I’m a little apprehensive about people reaching towards the top of my head, so if you’re going in for pets, it would make me feel safer if you approach slowly and pet my chest or underneath my neck.
I also LOVE other dogs! I’ve made some doggy friends here at YGRR that have greatly helped me adjust. Another dog in the home would be really helpful for me to build my confidence! I’d do well with some older, dog-savvy kids in the home. I’m good around little kids but the noise and commotion that comes along with them can make me a little fearful. I think toys are awesome too! I love chew toys and plushies! My absolute favorite toy is my Lamby! I’m very food and treat motivated as well so that is a great way to bond with me and build trust between us!
I would love the chance to grow a beautiful friendship with someone and become a part of someone’s family! I am a loyal girl who just wants someone to spend my days with! Could that be you?

What we need in a Forever Home:
- To be adopted together
- Patience while we adjust
- A fenced in yard
- Older dog-savvy kids are okay
Hi everyone! We’re Azalea and Dandelion, two beautiful Great Pyrenees friends searching for their forever home! We’d love to tell you all about us to see if we may be your perfect match!
First things first, we are a deeply bonded pair of girls who find a lot of comfort in each other. We love to snuggle together, go on walks together, and basically do anything side by side. Sometimes new environments can frighten us but when we’re together we gain more confidence and are able to adjust to new things! Once we feel safe and secure, our hilarious and loving personalities fully shine!
Another thing about us is, being Great Pyrenees’s, we LOVE the outdoors. Whether we’re playing around or simply relaxing and taking in the fresh air, we really enjoy being outside. We’d love a fenced in yard so that we can securely explore the great outdoors. We would also be able to share the house with older dog-savvy kids that understand we’re big dogs who aren’t always aware of our own size!
Dandelion is a curious and adventurous pup. She’s only 1 year old so she’s got a lot of silly energy in her! Azalea is 3 years old and is the biggest cuddle-bug there is! She’s still learning what personal space is and wants to be as close to her people as she possibly can. She’s a big girl who thinks she’s a lap dog!
We hope you consider opening your hearts to two affectionate, loyal, and goofy pups! We promise to fill your life with laughter and love!

Looking for a scruffy ray of sunshine? ☀️🐾
Meet Lizzy—a gorgeous, adorable, and truly one-of-a-kind girl who is guaranteed to brighten your days.
At 5 years young, Lizzy is playful, sweet, and full of joyful energy. She loves to play—especially when her favorite ball is involved! Toss it once and she’s all in, happily bringing it right back and waiting (very politely) for the fun to continue. Zoomies, big smiles, and happy greetings are all part of the Lizzy experience.
When playtime winds down, Lizzy is just as happy to cuddle up and soak in affection. She’s a good girl through and through—loving, wiggly, and eager to be close to her people. She’s also food-motivated and smart, already knowing “sit” and enjoying learning new things.
Lizzy can be a bit nervous with some new people at first—especially men—but with patience and gentle introductions, she warms up quickly. Once she does, she’s all love and devotion and wants to be everyone’s best friend.
We’re still learning about Lizzy with other animals, and at this time she would likely do best as a solo dog, where she can soak up all the attention and love she deserves.
🎓🌟 Training Scholarship Included!
Lizzy’s adoption comes with a bonus training scholarship thanks to Lizzy and the Good Dog People! Her adopter will receive a free consultation to help with the transition, plus a scholarship to the virtual course Recall for a Meatball. Ask our team for details! 🌟🎓
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, scruffy sweetheart with a heart of gold, Lizzy might just be your perfect match. 💕

What I Need in a Forever Home:
- An active home that enjoys play, zoomies, and cuddles
- An adopter who loves a goofy, attention-loving companion
- Older dog-savvy kids are okay
Hi! I’m Teka, and I’m SO excited to tell you about myself! If I had to describe myself in three words, I’d say: goofy, rambunctious, and full of life! Okay, that last one wasn’t really one word, but hey, I’m a dog, not an English major!
All I’m trying to say is that I’m a super fun, playful pup who loves being as wiggly as possible. Zoomies are one of my favorite activities! After I burn off some energy, I’m happy to settle in for cuddles and soak up all the love.
People are another one of my favorite things. I love attention, pets, and snuggling with my human friends. I enjoy being the center of attention, but I can also share the home with a dog who can match my playful style and understand my enthusiasm. I’ve got a few doggy friends here at YGRR and have shown to prefer females.
I’m also a big fan of toys, maybe a little too big of a fan. I like to destroy them and sometimes try to eat the pieces, so durable toys and hard bones are the way to go for me. I’m great at entertaining myself once I’ve got something sturdy to chew on!
If you’re looking for a fun-loving, wiggly girl who brings big energy, big laughs, and big cuddles, I might just be your perfect match. What do you think? I sound pretty amazing, right?

What I Need in a Forever Home:

A calm, gentle home

Can live with another low-energy dog or be the only dog

Lots of love, companionship, and inclusion
Hi everyone, my name is Hershey, and I’m a senior chocolate Lab with a heart as big as my love for people! I’m on a very important mission: finding my forever home where I can spend my golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and companionship.
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I adore being with my people. I don’t need to be the center of attention—I just want to be included. Whether you’re working at your computer, reading a book, or relaxing on the couch watching TV, you’ll almost always find me nearby, happily snoozing at your feet. Being close to you brings me so much comfort and joy. I’m the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home just by being there.
I’m not much for toys these days, but treats? Yes, please! I love all kinds of tasty snacks and will happily accept them as a sign of affection. They definitely motivate me and make my tail wag every time.
I still enjoy going for walks and taking in the world around me, but I prefer to keep them short and sweet. My knees aren’t what they used to be, and my back legs can be a bit stiff, so I take things at my own pace. Even so, I do my very best to get around and enjoy each day as it comes.
I’ve been doing very well with my foster family, and they’ve helped me discover something new: I love the water! Splashing around and playing in shallow water has become one of my favorite activities.
I would be okay sharing the home with some dog-savvy kids who understand that I’m a gentle old soul and not a super playful puppy. I could also live with another dog, especially one who’s older and low-energy like me—someone who enjoys calm companionship and quiet days. I’m totally fine being the only dog of the house too!
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be by your side, share peaceful moments, and maybe even join you for a splash in the water, I might be the perfect match for you. I have so much love to give and would be honored to be a part of your family!

What I Need in a Forever Home:
-
A calm, senior-friendly home
-
Preferably retired adults, work-from-home, or someone home often
-
Older, dog-savvy kids are fine
-
Can live with a calm, senior dog or be the only dog
-
Plenty of love, attention, and cozy snuggles
Hear ye, hear ye!
I’m King, a senior gentleman seeking a cozy castle to call my own—preferably one adorned with twinkling lights, warm blankets, and the sweet smells of the holiday season. I may not wear an actual crown (yet), but I promise to rule your heart with kindness, loyalty, and plenty of tail wags.
I’m a loving pup who enjoys being by my humans’ side. In fact, I adore my people so much that I can get a little stressed when they leave the room. So if you’re retired, work from home, or simply enjoy spending your winter days nestled inside the palace, I would be absolutely delighted to be your loyal companion.
I’ll admit—every great king enjoys a feast now and then, and I’ve enjoyed a few too many holiday snacks over the years. I could stand to lose a few pounds, but with your help (and maybe some brisk post–holiday walks), I’ll be back in shape! I love strolls around the kingdom and playing fetch in the yard. I can pull on leash a bit, so I’d benefit from a touch of leash-manner polishing.
I can also get a bit fed up with younger pups—they’ve just got too much energy for an old guy like myself! If you’ve got another dog, I’m hoping they’re a calm senior like me, but I’m perfectly content being the only royal hound. I’d also prefer not to go home with young children, though older dog-savvy kids are just fine.
So if you’re searching for a best friend, faithful companion, and benevolent ruler of snuggles to share cozy holiday evenings and many happy seasons to come, look no further. Please reach out if I sound like the pup for you!
