I’m a friendly, affectionate guy who’s all about those cuddles and belly rubs! If you’re looking for a loving companion who will thrive on your attention, I’m the dog for you. I absolutely adore people and I’m always happy to be around my human friends, getting lots of love and giving plenty of tail wags in return. I’m also great with other dogs, so if you have a doggy friend for me to play with, that would be amazing!

One of my absolute favorite things to do is spend time outside, running around the yard. I love playing fetch, chasing toys, and just enjoying the freedom of being outside. A home with a nice, spacious yard where I can let loose and burn off some energy would be a dream come true!

I want to be open and honest with you about a few things so you know what to expect. I’ve faced challenges with resource guarding in the past, especially regarding my food and toys. When I’m enjoying my favorite things, I can become a bit protective. However, I’m actively working on improving this behavior and am committed to making positive changes. With the right support and some patience, I believe I can keep progressing. It’s important for me to find a family who understands that this is part of who I am and respects my journey.

That’s where you come in! I’m looking for a family that can help me with my training. I need someone who understands resource guarding and is willing to put in the time and effort to work with me. I would do best in a home without young children, as I feel most comfortable in an environment that’s calm and steady. I’m looking for a family that can dedicate time to working with me, helping me feel secure, and teaching me how to share and trust.

Hi, I’m Duke and I am the sweetest most perfect boy, and love to spoon, and snuggle up on the couch. I love love people and will give the sweetest kisses while getting pet. I love going for walks with volunteers and have had loads of fun playing with other dogs while at Yankee.

I am looking to go to a home where I can get lots of love. Unfortunately, I cannot live with chicken’s, you heard me right, no homes with chicken coups for this guy, as they are my favorite snack. I would love to have a yard to play in but would also be okay with an active family who is able to take me walks.  A doggy sibling is not a necessity for me, but I would enjoy a furry playmate. Basically, if you have the time for loads of cuddles, walks, and loads of fun, I would be happy to join your family!

Hi there! I’m Riley, a sweet 5-year-old girl who’s still getting the hang of this whole “home life” thing. I came all the way from the South, and let me tell you, I’ve never been in a home before, so I’m still learning the ropes. But don’t worry, I’m a quick study, and with a little patience, I’m gaining more confidence every day!

I’ve met other dogs, and I’m a respectful and playful girl, but I don’t have to go home with another dog. I’m totally content being your one and only—though I wouldn’t mind a dog buddy if that’s your thing! I walk so well on the trails, you’ll be amazed at my leash skills.

I may be a little timid when I first settle in since I’ve never had a real home before, but with time and lots of love, I’ll open up. Oh, and about my ears – they weren’t in the best shape when I arrived at Yankee, but I’ve been getting the treatment I need and I’m feeling much better now!

One thing I know I’m great at? Belly rubs. I’ll roll over with a big smile to show you just how much I love them! I may be shy at first, but with a little encouragement, my enthusiasm will shine through—and trust me, my smile is one you’ll never forget.

I’m looking for a home that can meet me where I’m at and shower me with attention as I continue to grow and learn. Bonjour! We are Gigot (pronounced “zhee-go”) and Agneau (pronounced “ahn-yo”)—a très magnifique bonded pair of Goldendoodles straight out of the South!

We may sound fancy with our French-inspired names—Gigot means “leg of lamb,” and Agneau means “lamb”—but we’re really just two sweet pups looking for a cozy, peaceful home where we can thrive together.

We each have our own charming quirks. Gigot is le sportif of the duo and could play fetch all day long—he’s like an Olympian with a tennis ball! Agneau, on the other paw, is a cuddle connoisseur and adores belly rubs. She does have cataracts, but that doesn’t stop her from soaking up all the love you can give. If you’re willing to oblige, she’ll happily flop over and soak up all the love you can give.

We have a certain je ne sais quoi that makes us très spécial, but we’ll be honest: we need a family with patience and a knack for understanding dogs like us. Agneau’s cataracts might require specific care or accommodations, and we’re confident the right family will help her thrive. We’re not fans of other dogs (we react with a bit too much enthusiasm), so we’re searching for a home where it’s just us—no other pups to share the spotlight. A fenced-in yard is a must so we can play and explore safely. We have met cats and did amazing!!

We’d also prefer a quieter household without a lot of visitors or foot traffic. We’re still learning the ropes of living in a home, but with your guidance and love, we’ll be très bon élèves (very good students).

Our perfect family will have experience with dogs like us and the patience to help us build our confidence. In return, we’ll shower you with bisous (kisses), cuddles, and lots of fluffy companionship.

Hi there! I’m Mura! I’ve had quite the interesting life before coming to Yankee. I am originally a street dog from Turkey which made getting accustomed to the indoors difficult at first but my friends at the kennel have helped me gain lots of life skills and I now feel prepared to take on anything! I would love to get the chance to meet you and find my forever home but there are some things you should know about me first. I have an unusual love language so if I start nibbling at your clothes don’t be alarmed, this just means I really like you! I’m hoping to meet someone who accepts this weird quirk.

I can be super playful when I feel like it and love to run around in a yard so it would be ideal if I went home with someone with a fenced in yard. My favorite toys are either big fluffy plushies and hard bones, depending on what mood I’m in. I also love hot dogs and whipped cream or pretty much whatever treat you give me.

If I’m a little anxious or reserved at first I hope you won’t judge me for it, life has not been easy for me so it might take me a little bit longer to let my full goofy personality out. I’m a very unique and special dog looking for someone with compassion and patience.

I get along with some female dogs but I would still prefer to be the only dog of the house. I don’t think I would like living with kids very much.
