Ready to meet your new best friend? I’m Apollo!
I’m a 5-year-old Golden Retriever with a heart as bright as the sun (how fitting, right?). I’ve lived in a home before, so I know how to be the perfect companion—polite, house-trained, and always ready to brighten your day.
The best part of my day? Spending time with you! I’m over the moon for people and would be happiest with someone who works from home or doesn’t leave me alone too often. While I’m tolerant of other dogs, my true mission is to be your number-one sidekick. I’d also do amazing with kids—I’ll happily play fetch, explore the galaxy (or just the backyard), or soak up all the love they have to give.
Fun fact: I’m a superstar during vet visits. No drama here—I’m calm and tolerant through everything. The staff always says I’m a total rocket star!
When it comes to adventures, I’m always ready to launch into a game of fetch or go on a walk, but I’m equally happy to snuggle up and relax after a long day.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving pup who’s truly out of this world, I’m Apollo, and I’d love to be part of your universe!

I also love the flirt pole! Watching that toy zoom around gets me so excited—I can’t resist chasing it! It’s not just playtime for me; it’s my favorite way to burn off energy, bond with my people, and feel like the playful pup I’m meant to be.
Because I feel most comfortable outdoors, I’d do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where I can explore and relax without too much worry. A quieter environment with not too much foot traffic is perfect for me—I’m still learning how to feel confident around people and new situations, so a calm and predictable space would help me blossom.
I also love the company of other dogs! A calm and confident canine buddy could show me the ropes and help me settle into family life. While I might take some time to adjust, I promise I’m worth the patience. With love, understanding, and a little space to breathe, I’ll show you the sparkling personality that’s just waiting to come out.
If you’re looking for a sweet, outdoor-loving companion who has a knack for flirt pole fun and just needs a little time and care to shine, I could be your perfect match. Let’s make life sparkle together!

Hi, my name is Pistachio, and you’re going to go nuts once you meet me! I’m a sweet 3-year-old girl from the South who can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, I’ll be cracking open and sticking by your side for pets, pets, and more pets. Oh, and maybe some treats too! Staff and volunteers love to snuggle me, and honestly, who wouldn’t want all that attention?
I personally believe I’m one of the most beautiful girls around and would make a wonderful addition to any home. While at Yankee, I’ve been part of playgroups and love hanging out with my girls in the yard. A fenced-in yard would be great, but I also love going for walks with my people.
I think I’d do really well in a home with another dog who can show me the way and help me gain more confidence. I’m still learning about the world, and having a calm, friendly dog around would be so helpful as I continue to blossom into my best self.
If you’re ready to help me explore the world with lots of pets, love, patience, and maybe a doggy friend to guide me, I think we’d be a perfect match. I’m ready to crack open and give you all the love in the world!

Hiya! Goldie girl here, your sweet Southern Golden Retriever with a heart of gold that matches my beautiful, fluffy coat. I’m 5 years old and a bit shy at first, but with lots of love and pets, I’ve started to come out of my shell. It might take a little time to strike “gold” with me, but once I feel safe, I promise I’ll be your loyal, loving companion for life.
I’ve been working hard on gaining mobility and going on walks—I’m on a journey to shape up and feel my best! I’ve got a little extra fluff right now (okay, I’m a bit overweight), but that just means there’s more of me to cuddle. Affection means the world to me, and I love giving sweet kisses to show my appreciation for every bit of love I receive.
When it comes to my ideal home, I would be happiest with another dog by my side. Having a calm, confident buddy would help me build trust, show me the way, and make me feel safe as I come out of my shell. A nice, quiet environment would be perfect for me as I continue to gain confidence and blossom into my best self.
A fenced-in yard would be my golden ticket—I’d love a safe space to stretch my legs, explore, and find my own little patch of sunshine. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle girl who’s ready to make your days golden and fill them with love, then I’m your treasure!

My name is Polly, and I’m a small but mighty Golden Retriever bursting with love and energy! You can call me “Polly Pocket” because I’m tiny enough to fit right in your lap and always ready to keep you company wherever you go.
I may be small, but I have a big personality and a huge heart! I’m a big fan of attention; it makes my tail wag like crazy! I would prefer to be the only dog in the house so I can soak up all the love, belly rubs, and cuddles (and maybe some treats too!).
Going on walks is my favorite! I love exploring new smells and feeling the wind in my fur, even if my little legs have to work a bit harder to keep up! After our adventures, I enjoy spending time in the yard, chasing after butterflies and basking in the sun.
I’m searching for a special human who can be home a lot and shower me with the love and attention I crave. If you think you can handle all my wiggles and kisses, I’d love to be your “Polly Pocket” companion!

HOSPICE HOME NEEDED
My name is Jesse, and I am a goofy boy who has touched the hearts of all of my caretakers, whether it be at Yankee, or even stopping for pets at the vet. YGRR has worked very hard over the short time they have had me to help improve my quality of life. I was scheduled for knee surgery to work on my mobility, so that I can do more of my favorite thing, walks. Sadly, the vet gave us some bad news this weekend, and it turns out that I have Megaesophagus, which affects my ability to eat, and breathe. This condition causes knee surgery to not be an option for me, and with my mobility issues we are not able to manage my megaesophagus. Which leads me to look for a Foster Hospice family, where I can get the love, and care I deserve in the remainder of my life. I would love to spend the holidays with a family and help make their Christmas brighter this year. While Yankee loves and cares for me, it is not a home, and a home would be the best place for me to be loved, and cared for.

Well, hello there! I’m Jadia, and I’m on a quest for my forever home! My name means “the one who shines,” and let me tell you, I’m ready to light up your life! I’m a sweet southern gal with a voice that matches my big personality—just like my heart!
I love to chat, so if you hear me barking, it’s just my way of saying, “Hey, look at me!” or “Can we play?” I promise I’m not being rude; I’m just really excited to meet you!
I’m looking for a cozy spot where I can be the star of the show, so I’d prefer to be your one and only fur-friend. A nice, fenced-in yard is a must—after all, I need my space to chase butterflies and soak up the sun!
I might be a bit shy around little humans, so I think I’d do best in a quiet home without kids. Just you and me, snuggling up together? Yes, please!
So, if you’re looking for a loyal companion to brighten your days and fill your heart with joy, I’m your girl! Can’t wait to meet you!

Get yourself a glass, cause you just found yourself a tall drink of water!
I go by Tanji – but Tangelino, TJ, TanMan, Tanjiroon, or doofus work as well. I can say I was truly saved by YGRR, as I was set to be put to sleep the day they swooped in and secured a place for me at Yankee. I was someone’s dog at some point in my life, as I sadly have scars around my neck from a collar that was probably left on too tight. But I must have somehow gotten away from that situation, and was then a stray, just roaming the streets in Texas. A good Samaritan was feeding me everyday for weeks. I would meet her at our “spot” eat some food, hang out with her a little, and then she would leave until the next day. I stopped showing up for feeding for a few days and then showed back up with an injury of sorts on my head. She took me to a shelter to get proper treatment, and I was unfortunately not going to make it to the adoption floor due to my injuries.
Yankee saw me, and took me under their wing, brought me to MA, and treated my injuries.
I have since been learning to “dog”. Things like learning what toys are, and how to play with them. What to do when you are walking me. I even now know how to sit, lie down, and settle on a bed when asked to!
I have bonded here with a few staff members in particular, and would love to go to a home where I can have my own people to bond with and continue my journey with me.
I enjoy the company of certain other dogs, but it sort of depends on how we mesh, so I would rather be the only dog in my home with maybe some dog friends to go on walks with or hang out with from time to time after proper introductions.
I am still a bit goofy with my body and will run into your legs because I don’t know where my body is in space. Hence, doofus. I LOVE to go through your legs from behind to get your attention! It’s like MY trick that I brought along with me. It’s endearing.
I enjoy long walks, play time (now that I am learning what toys are), soccer balls, sticks, and galloping around in circles like a horse with my tongue out. I also enjoy learning new things and am very food motivated, so PLEASE a home that wants to keep helping me to learn all the life-skills I’ve missed out on by living in the bad situations I was in previously.
While I am on the search for my forever home I would love to learn how to “dog” with a a foster that can lead the way. I do need a home with no young kids, and a home that understands that food was once a rarity to me. I don’t want to share edible items once you give them to me, so just give me the space I needs to eat it and move on.

Apollo, we have landed! First step for mankind and first home for the best man! Hi I am Apollo, a handsome fun-loving dog from the south. Some of my favorite things are water, toys, and walks! I have a goofy personality. I love the pool and will chase toys in the water! I have become a volunteer and staff favorite with my loving personality and contagious smile.
I have done great with the girlies, but I have a past of being bullied by other males and it has left me wary of male dogs. Sorry boys, you can’t sit with us! I love kids and will great them ever so gently. I will chase a flirt pole and retrieve toys. I do amazing on leash and would love to join an active family on walks and adventures. My family should continue with my training as I am a smart boy that finds learning to be enriching. Once I get my daily exercise, I become a couch potato that enjoys cuddling.
In the meantime while I am on the search for my forever home, I would love to learn new life skills in a foster home as well. I would love to join my forever family on adventures and hikes! , I would be the perfect addition to a family that enjoys spending time outside and being by the water. One small step for man, one giant leap for Apollo!
