- Playful dogs are OK!
- A yard for me to explore
Hi, I’m Bobble! Aren’t my eyes gorgeous?!
They tell me I’m a little over a year old, but I like to think I’m the perfect age—old enough to know how to have fun and young enough to keep life exciting! I made the long trip all the way from Texas to Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, and now I’m ready to find the family I’ve been dreaming about.
If you’re looking for a dog who loves his people, I think we should meet. One of my favorite things in the whole world is giving hugs. I’m also a professional “leaner,” which means I’ll happily lean my whole body against you while you give me pets. It’s my way of saying, “I love you.”
I also think other playful dogs are a lot of fun! I’ve made so many canine friends here at Yankee, and I’d love a buddy who enjoys running around and playing as much as I do.
You should also know that I’m a total water fan. If there’s a pool nearby, chances are you’ll find me splashing around with the biggest smile on my face. After a swim, I’m more than happy to head out for a walk. I’ve been told I have wonderful leash manners and really enjoy exploring the world by your side.
One thing my future family should know is that I can be what’s called barrier reactive. That simply means that if I’m behind a fence, kennel door, or another barrier, I might bark or get excited because I can’t go say hello. Once the barrier is gone and I can properly meet people or dogs, I’m a completely different guy! My family just needs to understand that this is something I’m continuing to work on and not to judge me by my first impression through a fence.
Because I’m still a young, goofy boy, I can get excited and sometimes jump up or be a little mouthy when I’m having fun. I’m not trying to be rude—I just haven’t quite realized how big I am! For that reason, I’d do best in a home with teenagers rather than younger children who could get knocked over by my enthusiasm.
If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, playful best friend who will happily join you for adventures, cuddle up for hugs, and maybe convince you to spend a little more time by the pool, I just might be your guy.
I can’t wait to meet my forever family. Maybe it’s you?
