This handsome, scruffy pup with an irresistible smile and a playful personality is impossible not to love. Once he feels comfortable, he’s full of goofy antics, loves to play, and is always ready to be part of the fun. Whether he’s chasing toys, exploring the outdoors, or making you laugh with his silly expressions, Khaki is happiest when he has something to do.

Like many fearful dogs, Khaki can be nervous around new people and in unfamiliar situations. He’s looking for a dog-experienced, adult-only home that understands building trust takes time. With patience and consistency his sweet, affectionate personality continues to blossom.

Khaki is an active dog who will thrive with a family that enjoys walks, hikes, playtime, and other adventures. He’s smart, eager to learn, and would love a home committed to continuing his training while giving him plenty of mental and physical enrichment.

A quiet home in a peaceful neighborhood is the best fit for Khaki. Busy apartments, city living, and frequent visitors would be overwhelming for him. He’ll do best in a calm environment where he can settle in, gain confidence, and enjoy life at his own pace.

Khaki has done well with other dogs and may enjoy having a confident canine friend to help show him the ropes, though it’s not required.
