Sweet as chocolate and full of puppy love, that’s me, Sierra! I traveled all the way from Georgia in hopes of finding my very own forever family, and I can’t wait to see what adventures are waiting for me!

I’m a 7-month-old Chocolate Lab mix with a big personality, lots of love to give, and plenty of puppy energy to go around! I’m still just a baby, which means I’m learning, growing, and figuring out this big world one paw at a time!

Some of my favorite things include going for walks, playing, and spending time with my favorite people! I’m a social butterfly who loves attention, and sometimes I get so excited that I just can’t keep all four paws on the ground! That’s right, I can be a little jumpy, but I promise it’s just because I’m so happy to see you! I’ll need a family willing to help me work on my manners and continue my training as I grow into the best girl I can be.

I’d love a family that enjoys staying active and is ready to keep up with my playful puppy energy! I could also happily share my home with another playful dog who enjoys romping around as much as I do. Dog-savvy children who understand that I’m still a bouncy, growing pup could be great friends of mine, too!

Since I’m such a people-loving girl, I’d do best in a home where someone is around more often than not. After all, what’s better than having your favorite humans nearby for some playtime, belly rubs, and a little extra love?

I made my way all the way from Texas to New England in hopes of finding my forever family! I recently got a little taste of home life, but unfortunately, it wasn’t quite the right fit for me. So, I’m back and ready for my next big adventure! I’m keeping my paws crossed that my perfect family is out there waiting for me!

Now, let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a BIG guy with an even BIGGER personality! I’m incredibly sweet, affectionate, goofy, and absolutely full of life. I love people, I love attention, and I especially love giving hugs! Sometimes I forget just how big I am and think I’m a lap dog. Who says big dogs can’t be lap dogs anyway?!

I do have to admit, I’ve got LOTS of energy! I’m a bouncy, enthusiastic boy who tends to show my excitement with jumping and sometimes getting a little mouthy. It’s all part of my goofy personality, but I’m still learning that not everyone appreciates my larger-than-life greetings! I’ll need a family that understands my energy and is willing to continue working with me on my manners. I promise I’ve got so much potential, and with some patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, I know I can be an amazing companion!

Because of my size and enthusiasm, I’d do best in a home with teenagers who won’t mind my bouncy personality. I’ve also done well meeting other dogs and would love a canine sibling who enjoys a good game of chase, wrestling, and romping around! Having another playful dog could be a great way for me to burn off some of that extra energy.

I’m definitely not looking to be a couch potato all day (although I do enjoy a good snuggle after some fun!). I’d love a family that enjoys spending time outdoors, going on adventures, exploring nature, and keeping active. I have plenty of energy to spare, and I’m hoping to find someone who can help me put it to good use! I also love toys, Kongs, and anything that keeps my busy brain entertained.

Hi everyone! My name is Harper, and I’m an 8-year-old Labrador Retriever with a gentle heart and a story that’s still being written!

You may have already met my friends Jolene and Sandy, but now it’s my turn to introduce myself! The three of us were found as strays in Athol, and thankfully, the wonderful folks at Athol Animal Control reached out to YGRR to help us get the care we needed. When I first arrived, I wasn’t in the best shape, but thanks to lots of love, patience, and care, I’ve come such a long way! And now, I’m hoping to find a family who will help me continue blossoming into the dog I was always meant to be.

Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a little different from my friend Jolene, who seems to think everyone she meets should immediately become her best friend! Me? I prefer to take things a little slower. I’m a sweet, gentle girl, but new people and unfamiliar situations can make me a bit nervous. I like to take my time getting to know someone before letting my guard down. But once I start to feel comfortable, you’ll get to see the loving girl hiding behind that shy exterior!

I’m still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Things that might seem ordinary to other dogs can be brand new to me, including walking on a leash! I’m making progress, but I’ll need a family who understands that confidence doesn’t happen overnight. A little encouragement, patience, and celebrating the small victories will mean the world to me.

One thing that really helps me? Having a doggy friend by my side! I tend to feel much more comfortable when I have another dog around to show me that everything is okay. Think of them as my personal tour guide to this big, exciting world! I’d love a home with a friendly, confident canine sibling who can help show me the ropes, or a family who has other dogs around regularly for me to learn from.

Because I can spook easily, I’m looking for a quieter, adult-only home where I can settle in at my own pace. A fenced-in yard is also important for me so I can safely explore, sniff around, and enjoy the outdoors while I continue working on my leash skills.

I know 8 years old might sound like I’m ready to retire, but I’ve still got so much life left to live! There are new places to explore, cozy beds to discover, treats to taste, and so many wonderful experiences I haven’t had the chance to enjoy just yet. I may not be the dog who runs right into your arms the moment we meet, but I promise that doesn’t mean I have any less love to give.

I’ve already come so far since arriving at YGRR, and I know that with the right family, I can continue to grow into a more confident, happy girl. I’m not looking for someone to rush me or expect me to have everything figured out. I’m just looking for someone who sees the potential in a shy, sweet Labrador and is willing to give me the chance I deserve.

Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m a young girl who was saved from the euthanasia list in Georgia. As a puppy, my siblings and I were picked up as strays, and after being overlooked at a southern shelter, I unfortunately found myself on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, a local rescue stepped in, connected with Yankee, and helped bring me all the way to Massachusetts!

I can be timid with new people and situations, but I have made so much progress. My team in Georgia spent lots of time helping me learn that people are safe and shared:

“Kayla is going to be timid at first. With patience, she will learn to trust you. Once Kayla comes out of her shell she is the best dog a family could ask for.”

On top of being beautiful, I’m also very smart! I know my basic commands along with some fun tricks like high five, spin, and “bang bang.”

Since arriving at Yankee, I’ve enjoyed daily walks, dipping my toes in the pool, and especially playing with my doggie friends. My best friend here is Phoebe, who you may have recently seen posted! We are both sensitive girls learning to be brave, and having Phoebe by my side has helped my confidence tremendously.

Other dogs help me feel safe and bring out my playful side, which is why another confident dog in my forever home is a must.
