Hi, I’m Tato. I’m not your average dog—I’m a project, but if you’re the right person, I’m a project worth taking on. I’m looking for someone experienced, patient, and committed to helping me work through some behavioral challenges. I won’t sugarcoat it: I need structure, understanding, and time.

I struggle with something called resource guarding. That means I can get protective over things like food, toys, or even space. Because of this, I need a home with no children, and I need someone who respects boundaries, is comfortable managing complex behaviors, and is willing to work alongside professionals if needed.

I do well around other dogs, but I don’t require one in the home to be happy or successful. What I do need is a secure, fenced-in yard—some space where I can decompress, move freely, and just be a dog without the pressure of the outside world. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just safe.

Let me be clear: I’m a lot of work. I need consistency. I need someone who won’t give up on me when progress feels slow, who will follow behavioral guidance closely, and who understands that dogs like me don’t change overnight. I’m not looking for a quick adoption—I’m looking for the right one. Or maybe even a behavioral foster who can give me structure and stability while I continue to grow.
