What I need in a home:

• We require an already confident dog in the home. We rely on other dogs to help us adjust
• A fully fenced in yard
• A very patient home that lets us adjust at our own pace
• No kids, older teenagers are okay

Hi we are Goldie and Sally, two beautiful goldens who arrived to Yankee as retired breeding dogs. We are beautiful girls, and so are our hearts. Our tough background has left us nervous, and we have never had a real chance to learn how to “dog”. While we have found each other here as friends, we can also go home separate to other confident dogs.

While being here at Yankee we have found that we love other dogs, yummy treats, and toys. What makes us light up is other dogs! Because of this, we require an already confident dog in the home. So if your friendly pup is looking for two, or one doggie siblings, I’d love to join your home.

We are asking no kids in the home, since we are still trusting adult humans. We need peace and quiet as we learn how to live in a home.

What we need in a home is a quiet family that doesn’t have big expectation in us. Everything is still new to us. Walking on a leash, human affection, cars. Seeing us come out of my shell, and learning to live with a loving family, will be a journey. The lucky family that chooses to take us in will be rewarded emotionally as they see us learn how fun life is!

Again, we are happy to go home together or separate. And we will have the same requirements for each home we may go to.
