Hi, I’m Rufus—the last Georgian Peach still waiting for my forever family!

My siblings Benji, Charlie, Cooper, Daisy, Leland, and Sadie have all started their next adventures, and now I’m hoping it’s finally my turn!

I came to Yankee all the way from Georgia with my six siblings, and since arriving, I have shown everyone what a sweet, happy, and lovable little guy I am. I love spending time with staff and volunteers, playing outside, exploring the yards, and of course getting plenty of attention.

I have all the fun puppy qualities you would expect—I’m playful, curious, silly, and always ready to see what’s going on. But underneath all that puppy energy is an incredibly sweet boy who has so much love to give. Whoever gets to call me theirs is going to be one very lucky family!

Like any young puppy, I’m still learning about the world and will need a family ready to help me with house training, leash walking, basic manners, and socialization. I’m a smart boy with lots of potential, and with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, I know I’m going to grow into an amazing companion.

I can go home with respectful children who are comfortable with puppy energy, and I can also live with other dogs who won’t mind having an enthusiastic little brother around. I’d be happy to have a canine sibling to play with and learn from, but I’d also be perfectly content soaking up all the love as your one and only pup.

I’ve watched all of my siblings find their families, and I know mine is out there too. I’m ready for walks, adventures, backyard playtime, cuddles, training, and growing up alongside my people.
