Hi there! My name’s Layla and I’m a 5-year-old Golden-Hearted Retriever mix who adores people! I’m such a playful girl who’d think I was still a puppy! Seriously, zooming around the yard with a toy in my mouth is my favorite thing to do, apart from snuggling with you, of course!

I also LOVE walks! The staff and volunteers here at YGRR love to take me on walks because of how great my leash manners are! Sniffing around and learning about the world around me is so fun! Toys of all kinds are the best too! Running around with a soft plushy toy? Love it. A game of some good old-fashioned fetch? Also love it!! When I’m not out on an adventure or playing around, I love to relax with my people. Being close to the people I love is super important to me. I hope I find someone that wants to spend as much time with me as I do with them, even if we’re just coexisting while you watch TV and I play with my toys!

Because of my playful nature, I would love a fenced in yard so I’m able to run around freely! I would also be totally fine sharing the home with some dog-savvy kids! When it comes to other dogs, however, I’d prefer to be your one and only!
