• No young children, as busy households can be overwhelming for us

Hi there! We’re Molly and Daisy, two Golden Retriever girls from Ohio searching for a very special forever home.

Life hasn’t always been easy for us. We didn’t have the best start, and because of that, the world can still feel like a pretty big and scary place sometimes. New people, new sounds, and lots of activity can make us nervous, but we’re trying our best every single day.

What we need most is someone who understands that healing takes time.

We’re looking for a patient family who won’t expect us to be perfect right away. A family who will celebrate the little victories, let us move at our own pace, and meet us where we are. We may not be the type of dogs who run up to strangers or instantly settle into a new home, but underneath our shy exteriors are two incredibly sweet girls who want nothing more than to feel safe and loved.

One thing we do know? We absolutely love other dogs! Having a confident canine friend in the home would help us tremendously. We learn so much by watching other dogs, and having a buddy by our side makes the world feel a little less scary.

Because we’re still building our confidence, we’ll need a securely fenced yard where we can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors without feeling overwhelmed. We’d also do best in a quieter home with limited foot traffic. Young children and lots of hustle and bustle would likely be stressful for us, so we’re hoping to find a calm environment where we can continue to blossom.

We know we’re a work in progress. We may not be the easiest dogs you’ll ever adopt, but we promise we’ll be among the most rewarding. Somewhere out there is a family willing to see past our fears and recognize the loving, gentle soul’s underneath.
