Hi, I am Daisy! Don’t let my eyebrows fool you, I may look permanently confused, bamboozled and befuddled, but I know all the tea!

I came from an Amish breeding community where I never got a chance to be a dog. Here at Yankee I am slowly showing my personality, but it hasn’t been easy. I need a home where a family has the patience to let me find myself. There’s lots of personality in me, I just need the time to figure out life outside of a kennel. I am good with other dogs. My pal Kelly has been by my side and we have play groups with other dogs here. Kelly and I have been helping each other find our way through this new world. I could go home with Kelly, but I don’t have to.

I need some time to get comfy with new people sometimes, and kids that are very young might be too much too soon for me, though mature children may be okay, as I have never been in a home before. I love soft toys, to be brushed, and to run in the yard. I have so much love to give, it’s just going to take some time.

If you are looking for a dog that you can take to public places with you, I’m not your girl. I like the comforts of my safe-places. At least for now! Will you hold my paw as I find my way through this new world?
