• A family ready to continue my training and help me become the best boy I can be

Hi everyone! My name is Brinkley, and I’m a 6-month-old Golden Retriever looking for a very special forever family.

There is something important you should know about me right from the start: I have epilepsy. I will need to take seizure medication for the rest of my life, along with regular veterinary monitoring to make sure my medication and care continue to meet my needs as I grow and throughout my life.

Because of this, I would really benefit from a family who has experience with canine epilepsy or seizure disorders and understands what to watch for and what caring for a dog with this condition involves. Most importantly, my family will need to be committed to staying on top of my medication, veterinary appointments, and any changes in my condition throughout my life.

Now that we got the serious stuff out of the way, let me tell you about me — because epilepsy is only one part of who I am!

I’m a very happy, affectionate Golden puppy who absolutely loves being with people. One of my favorite places to be is curled up in your lap for a cuddle. I know I’m going to keep getting bigger, but I see absolutely no reason why that should interfere with my plans of being a lap dog forever!

When I’m not cuddling, I love being outside, playing, and especially fetch! I’m always ready to have some fun and then settle in for some quality snuggle time afterward. I’m also doing great with my house training and will let you know when I need to go outside — pretty impressive, if I do say so myself!

I love kids, too! Since I’m still a young puppy learning my manners and sometimes forget just how excited I can get, older, dog-savvy kids would be the best fit for me.

I may need some extra care throughout my life, but I have so much love, happiness, and Golden Retriever silliness to give in return. If you’re ready to give a special pup the care and commitment he needs, I’d love the chance to curl up in your lap and become your new best friend.
