Hi everyone! My name is Belinda and I’m a 2-year-old Lab mix who’s seeking a loving forever home! I’m a gentle, sweet girl who just needs time and patience in order to feel secure. I truly love people but because of my past, I need a little extra time to make sure I can trust you. Once that trust is established, I will want to spend all my time with you! When I see you, I won’t just wag my tail, I’ll wiggle my whole body with pure excitement! I’m a little apprehensive about people reaching towards the top of my head, so if you’re going in for pets, it would make me feel safer if you approach slowly and pet my chest or underneath my neck.

I also LOVE other dogs! I’ve made some doggy friends here at YGRR that have greatly helped me adjust. Another dog in the home would be really helpful for me to build my confidence! I’d do well with some older, dog-savvy kids in the home. I’m good around little kids but the noise and commotion that comes along with them can make me a little fearful. I think toys are awesome too! I love chew toys and plushies! My absolute favorite toy is my Lamby! I’m very food and treat motivated as well so that is a great way to bond with me and build trust between us!
