Hi there, I’m Poppyseed!
I’m an 8-year-old golden retriever with a heart full of love and only three legs—but don’t let that fool you. I walk like a pro and nothing slows me down! I may be missing a leg, but I’m poppy-speeding through life with joy and determination.
Everyone says I’m just as sweet as a muffin (extra sweet, if you ask me) and as gorgeous as a golden girl can be. I’m looking for a calm, cozy home where I can be the one and only—no other pets, and no kiddos, please! I’m happiest when I can soak up all the love for myself.
I do have a little something I like to be upfront about: I resource guard my food. It’s just one of my quirks, and I need a home that understands me and can give me the gentle structure I need. I promise, with a little patience – I’ll be your most loyal companion.
I’ve been through a lot, but I’m ready to plant myself in a home where I can blossom. Could you be the one to help me write my happily ever after?

Hi there! I’m Hannah!
Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a sweet furball with a big heart, and I’ve had a home before, but I’m on the lookout for my forever family who can shower me with love and attention. I really thrive when I’m surrounded by my favorite humans and can’t wait to form a special bond with you!
One thing you should know about me is that I tend to get a bit anxious when left alone, so it would be ideal if you could stay home with me most of the time. I promise to fill your days with smiles, cuddles, and playful adventures!
As much as I adore people, I prefer to be the only dog in the house. This way, I can soak up all the love and attention without having to share. I dream of a yard that’s big enough for me to roam, explore, and wag my tail in joy while soaking up the sunshine.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will always be by your side, I’m your girl! Let’s embark on this amazing journey together. Can’t wait to meet you!

Hiya! I’m Benny the Bernedoodle, your future best buddy with a wagging tail and a big heart! I’m originally from the hustle and bustle of New York City, so I’m used to being on the move. Long walks? Yes, please! Agility courses? My favorite! I love meeting new people (I’m quite the socialite) and playing with other dogs who can keep up with my playful antics.
I recently got a fresh shave, and while my fluffy coat is taking a little break, I’m still as dashing as ever. But don’t let the haircut fool you—I’m more than just a pretty face! I’m also one of the cuddliest guys you’ll ever meet. I love curling up on the couch for a nap, getting belly rubs, and giving kisses. I can snooze all day if that’s your vibe, or be ready to play if you are—whatever energy you’re bringing, I’ll match it.
While I’ve got a fun, active side, my energy is very manageable. A couple of outings a day where I can sniff, explore, and get some mental stimulation is really all I need. I do great in the car (perfect trail buddy!) and I’m fully house-trained—no accidents at all in my foster’s apartment.
I’ve done so well with every person and dog I’ve met. I get excited around them but I’m polite—no barking or making a scene! I’d do really well with a dog friend in the home who enjoys playing, and I’ve got a special place in my heart for cheese and canned stew (hint hint).
I’m super smart, so if you only put me in a gated area when you leave, I’ll catch on quick! I’d prefer to sleep in your room (a cozy pen or gated area works fine if you’re not a “dogs on the bed” person) It’s a work in progress, and I’m getting better every day, but I’ll need a patient adopter who understands that I just really love being with my people.
I’m also a bit mouthy when I get excited—I might nibble your sleeve, finger, or necklace (never to hurt you, just how I play!). Tug of war and outdoor games help with that. I’ve also shown some very mild resource guarding because of this and my mouthy play style, I’m looking for a home without kids.
Apartment or house? Doesn’t matter to me—as long as I get some good outdoor time. I love off-leash running in a secure area and would be thrilled with daily romps in a fenced yard or dog park.
So, if you’re looking for a snuggly sidekick with a goofy, playful streak and a whole lot of love to give, I just might be your perfect match.

Learn all about me!
Hi there, I’m Hansel! I’m a young Lab mix with a heart full of love and a few quirks that make me uniquely me—just as sweet as a springtime treat, and ready to bloom in the right home.
I’ve been waiting here a little while now—hoping, dreaming, and wagging my tail every time someone walks by, wondering if they might be the one. You see, I have something called hydrocephalus, which means I experience the world a little differently and need a family who can embrace me just as I am. Life hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve never let that stop me from being the loving, joyful pup I was born to be.
I adore people—snuggling is my superpower, and I’m always ready to share a gentle paw or a happy tail wag. I’ve met other dogs and tend to do best with those who can understand my quirks—patient pups who don’t mind a friend that moves through life a little differently. I’d really love a home with tolerant dog siblings who can help me feel safe and accepted just as I am or I can be your one and only.
My dream? A fenced-in yard to call my own, where I can sniff the flowers, feel the breeze on my face, and explore at my own pace.
Around here, I’m a favorite. The staff and volunteers always say how special I am—how sweet, how resilient, how deserving. I just need a family who sees me the same way.
I know I’m not the easiest pup, but I am one of the most loving. I’ll repay your care with endless affection, loyalty, and a heart full of gratitude. If you’re someone who believes that every dog deserves a chance—especially one with a few extra quirks—I’d love to meet you.
Could you be the one I’ve been waiting for? Let’s grow something beautiful together this spring.
