Hi there, we’re Carla and Roxy, a sweet and snuggly bonded pair of 5-year-old southern gals who are looking for a quiet, patient home to call our own.

We may be a little shy at first—okay, a lot shy—but we’ve found courage in each other. Where one of us is unsure, the other says, “You got this, sis!” We’ve come such a long way together and are still learning what it means to be dogs in a big, exciting world.

We’ll let you in on a little secret… we’re both carrying a few extra pounds. But the good news is—we’re already on the path to getting healthy! With slow walks, yard zoomies, and the right balance of snacks and snuggles, we’re working on slimming down together. Think of us as your new wellness buddies—with very cute faces.

Right now, we’re still figuring out things like leashes and harnesses, so we’d love a home with a fenced-in yard where we can feel safe while we explore. We’re what the humans call “flight risks”—we just get nervous and spooked easily, especially in new places or with loud noises. So we need someone who will go slow with us, at our pace. No pressure, no rush—just gentle love, snacks, and soft voices, please.

When we’re not tip-pawing around the yard, you’ll find us curled up together, or snuggling up with our humans. We’re world-class cuddlers. Carla especially loves carrying a soft toy in her mouth—she says it makes her feel brave and cozy at the same time.

We’ve also met other dogs and done really well! So if you have a friendly pup at home looking for some soft, gentle friends to hang out with, we’d love to join the pack.

We know we’re not the easiest pair right off the bat—but if you’re the kind of human who understands that good things take time, we promise we’ll show you just how big our hearts really are. One day you’ll wake up to find us wagging our tails at the foot of your bed, and you’ll know—we’re home.

Hi, I’m Max, or as Yankee staff calls me, Maxy. 

I am a sweet young boy who is looking for my forever home.  I am still working on my leash skills, so a fenced in yard for me to run around in would be perfect. An adult and teenage home that respects my things and space would be very helpful to me. 

I came from an older family, and have lived in a home before, but I would still love to attend training to help me gain skills and trust in my new family. I love going on walks with volunteers and staff, as I am working on my leash skills. 

Structured play would be great for me to get out my energy, and keep an enriched mind. 

If you want to go on plenty of adventures, and occasionally snuggle on the couch after a long day of play and fun, I am the guy for you!

Hold onto your leashes—I’m Howie, and I’m here to steal your heart! I may have traveled all the way from sunny California, but I’m ready to plant my paws somewhere new—and I hope it’s with you! I’m one year old, which means I’m still a pup at heart, full of fun, energy, and goofy antics. Speaking of things that never quite make it all the way up… have you seen my ears? One stands tall like I’m always listening, and the other? Well, let’s just say it likes to march to the beat of its own drum.

I’m a dog-friendly dude who would love to have a playful pup sibling to wrestle and zoom around with. If you’ve got a furry friend who enjoys a good game of chase, I’m your guy! I’d also do best with older, dog-savvy kids who can keep up with my enthusiasm and appreciate my puppy playfulness.

What I’m really looking for is a home that can give me lots of enrichment, attention, and fun adventures. Puzzle toys? Yes, please! Sniffy walks? Sign me up! Training games? I’m all ears (well, one ear is always up for it). I’m smart and eager to learn, and with the right guidance, I’ll be the best sidekick you could ask for.

Hi there! I’m Mura! I’ve had quite the interesting life before coming to Yankee. I am originally a street dog from Turkey, which made getting accustomed to the indoors difficult at first—but my friends at the kennel have helped me gain lots of life skills, and I now feel prepared to take on anything! I would love to get the chance to meet you and find my forever home, but there are some things you should know about me first.

I have an unusual love language, so if I start nibbling at your clothes, don’t be alarmed—this just means I really like you! I’m hoping to meet someone who accepts this little quirk of mine.

I can be super playful when I feel like it and love to run around in a yard, so it would be ideal if I went home with someone who has a fenced-in yard. My favorite toys are either big fluffy plushies or hard bones, depending on my mood. I also love hot dogs and whipped cream—or pretty much any treat you give me!

If I seem a little anxious or reserved at first, I hope you won’t judge me for it. Life has not been easy for me, so it might take a little longer for my full goofy personality to shine through. I’m a very unique and special dog looking for someone with compassion and patience.

I can go home with a friendly female dog, but I don’t think I’d enjoy living with kids very much.
