What I Need in a Forever Home:
- An active home that enjoys play, zoomies, and cuddles
- An adopter who loves a goofy, attention-loving companion
- Older dog-savvy kids are okay
Hi! I’m Teka, and I’m SO excited to tell you about myself! If I had to describe myself in three words, I’d say: goofy, rambunctious, and full of life! Okay, that last one wasn’t really one word, but hey, I’m a dog, not an English major!
All I’m trying to say is that I’m a super fun, playful pup who loves being as wiggly as possible. Zoomies are one of my favorite activities! After I burn off some energy, I’m happy to settle in for cuddles and soak up all the love.
People are another one of my favorite things. I love attention, pets, and snuggling with my human friends. I enjoy being the center of attention, but I can also share the home with a dog who can match my playful style and understand my enthusiasm. I’ve got a few doggy friends here at YGRR and have shown to prefer females.
I’m also a big fan of toys, maybe a little too big of a fan. I like to destroy them and sometimes try to eat the pieces, so durable toys and hard bones are the way to go for me. I’m great at entertaining myself once I’ve got something sturdy to chew on!
If you’re looking for a fun-loving, wiggly girl who brings big energy, big laughs, and big cuddles, I might just be your perfect match. What do you think? I sound pretty amazing, right?

What I Need in a Forever Home:
-
A calm, gentle home
-
Dog-savvy kids are okay
-
Can live with another low-energy dog or be the only dog
-
Short, easy walks and low-impact activity
-
Lots of love, companionship, and inclusion
Hi everyone, my name is Hershey, and I’m a senior chocolate Lab with a heart as big as my love for people! I’m on a very important mission: finding my forever home where I can spend my golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and companionship.
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I adore being with my people. I don’t need to be the center of attention—I just want to be included. Whether you’re working at your computer, reading a book, or relaxing on the couch watching TV, you’ll almost always find me nearby, happily snoozing at your feet. Being close to you brings me so much comfort and joy. I’m the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home just by being there.
I’m not much for toys these days, but treats? Yes, please! I love all kinds of tasty snacks and will happily accept them as a sign of affection. They definitely motivate me and make my tail wag every time.
I still enjoy going for walks and taking in the world around me, but I prefer to keep them short and sweet. My knees aren’t what they used to be, and my back legs can be a bit stiff, so I take things at my own pace. Even so, I do my very best to get around and enjoy each day as it comes.
I’ve been doing very well with my foster family, and they’ve helped me discover something new: I love the water! Splashing around and playing in shallow water has become one of my favorite activities.
I would be okay sharing the home with some dog-savvy kids who understand that I’m a gentle old soul and not a super playful puppy. I could also live with another dog, especially one who’s older and low-energy like me—someone who enjoys calm companionship and quiet days. I’m totally fine being the only dog of the house too!
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be by your side, share peaceful moments, and maybe even join you for a splash in the water, I might be the perfect match for you. I have so much love to give and would be honored to be a part of your family!

What I Need in a Forever Home:
-
A calm, senior-friendly home
-
Preferably retired adults, work-from-home, or someone home often
-
Older, dog-savvy kids are fine
-
Can live with a calm, senior dog or be the only dog
-
Plenty of love, attention, and cozy snuggles
Hear ye, hear ye!
I’m King, a senior gentleman seeking a cozy castle to call my own—preferably one adorned with twinkling lights, warm blankets, and the sweet smells of the holiday season. I may not wear an actual crown (yet), but I promise to rule your heart with kindness, loyalty, and plenty of tail wags.
I’m a loving pup who enjoys being by my humans’ side. In fact, I adore my people so much that I can get a little stressed when they leave the room. So if you’re retired, work from home, or simply enjoy spending your winter days nestled inside the palace, I would be absolutely delighted to be your loyal companion.
I’ll admit—every great king enjoys a feast now and then, and I’ve enjoyed a few too many holiday snacks over the years. I could stand to lose a few pounds, but with your help (and maybe some brisk post–holiday walks), I’ll be back in shape! I love strolls around the kingdom and playing fetch in the yard. I can pull on leash a bit, so I’d benefit from a touch of leash-manner polishing.
I can also get a bit fed up with younger pups—they’ve just got too much energy for an old guy like myself! If you’ve got another dog, I’m hoping they’re a calm senior like me, but I’m perfectly content being the only royal hound. I’d also prefer not to go home with young children, though older dog-savvy kids are just fine.
So if you’re searching for a best friend, faithful companion, and benevolent ruler of snuggles to share cozy holiday evenings and many happy seasons to come, look no further. Please reach out if I sound like the pup for you!

What I Need in a Forever Home:
-
To live with a confident, friendly dog (essential for his comfort)
-
A calm, quiet household with patient adopters
-
A secure, fully fenced yard for safe exploration
-
Support while he continues learning
Hi everyone, I’m Baguette, a timid dog who’s still learning what it means to live in a world full of humans. I had a devastating start to my life — I came from a hoarding case where I was severely neglected, leaving me with emotional scars and a deep fear of the world. Because of this, I’m very nervous. I’m easily startled by sudden sounds or movements and unsure about things like leashes, people, or even what “pets” are — but beneath that shyness is a genuinely loving dog just waiting for patience and kindness to help me blossom.
I find comfort in plushy toys that I carry around when I’m nervous, and I rely heavily on other dogs for reassurance. Being around a confident dog helps me feel safe and calm — having a dog friend isn’t just helpful for me, it’s essential.
I can get spooked when I’m outside, so a fully fenced yard is a must. It gives me a safe space to explore, relax, and begin to understand the world without fear. Even in my foster home, I’m still learning about life outside and what it means to feel secure in new situations.
I would thrive in a patient, quiet home where progress is slow, gentle, and celebrated. I’m still figuring out housetraining and leash skills, but with consistency, guidance, and a calm environment, I have so much potential to grow and thrive.
If you can offer me a patient, understanding home, a secure yard, and — most importantly — a confident dog companion, you might just be the person I’ve been waiting for. Could you be the warm, understanding home I need?
